Outside Linköping, Sweden we find a Timberjack 1270 owned by Robert Johansson, Östergötlands Skogsavverkning AB. This machine originally served for final felling, fitted with a Timberjack 762C head setup solely for final felling.
Ever since thinning jobs has increased, the machine has now been completed with a lighter and more flexible Head – a Log Max 5000.

Robert reasoned like this; Thinning jobs are increasing, but I still want to run the final fellings that comes up.
-I needed a lighter, and most importantly, a reliable head. When I saw the solution Log Max offered where I could control the Head with the present Timberjack 3000 Control System, it was an easy choice. I decided for a Log Max 5000 with a Timberjack Interface says Robert, and continues:
Today I mostly run the 5000 and especially in thinnings, only for heavy final fellings I use the 762.

I visited the machine a winter’s day just before Christmas, outside Ödeshög working in an environmentally protected area, cutting Hardwood. The machine was operated by Kristian Jarmeus, who is very satisfied with the concept.
-I run a light, reliable Head that makes me efficient when thinning, says Kristian. The simple design and hose routing on the Log Max 5000 makes for a high utilization of the machine. The solution with the Timberjack Interface looks good and works excellent.
