Purpose and scope

The purpose of this policy is to provide our current, past and future customers (hereinafter “customers” or “you”) with information about how and why we process your personal data, which personal data we process, how long they are kept and how you can request that your personal data be rectified or erased. This policy may be amended or updated at any time in order to meet the requirements of the applicable data protection legislation. Who is the controller?

Log Max AB (a Swedish legal entity with the company number 556069-9794) is the controller of the personal data we collect both online and offline.

How and on what basis do we process your personal data?

We are aware of and appreciate the trust you place in us when you provide us with your personal data, and we are keen to protect your privacy.

We will only process data and information about you when there is a legal basis for us to do so, and in general, we base our processing on a contractual obligation (our mutual agreement), your explicit consent, our legal obligations or a legitimate interest that remains following a legitimate interests assessment.

Personal data based on a contractual obligation (when we have entered into a mutual agreement) are processed in order to:

You can provide us, our authorised dealers or contracted workshops and other third parties with your personal data when you use Log Max services or through other contact with Log Max, such as through our websites.

  • Personal information (date of birth, preferred means of contact, etc.)
  • Machine information (model, serial number, date of purchase, service history, etc.)

The collection and use of logged data may be necessary in connection with technicians diagnosing and rectifying problems in the service and maintenance of machines as well as in administering Log Max warranty commitments or complying with legal requirements.

Services provided by third parties

Log Max is not responsible for the collection or use of personal data in third-party applications or services and recommends that you carefully review the applicable terms and conditions. How do we process personal data within and outside the EU/EEA?

Log Max processes personal data within the EU/EEA. In the event that any personal data are transferred to a country outside the concerned area, Log Max will ensure that there is a legal basis for the transfer in compliance with the applicable data protection legislation.

How can you stop our processing of your personal data? 

In general, you can stop our processing of your personal data by updating your preferences, cancelling a particular service or withdrawing your consent to the concerned processing by e-mailing communications@logmax.com.

However, in general, unless pursuant to the applicable law, you may not object to the processing of your personal data as regards information we process in order to fulfil our legal obligations.

How long do we keep your personal data? 

We only keep your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which the data were collected:

Contractual basis:
Throughout the term of the agreement and for up to 10 years after the agreement has been entered into in order to be able to fulfil our obligations under the agreement, including but not limited to being able to provide spare parts.

Legitimate interest:
Until the collected data have been analysed and processed following a mailing and/or completed survey, or generally for a maximum period of three years after contact has been established with a potential customer. The processing of data in the latter case is necessary to fulfil our and your legitimate interest to handle information and be given enough time to consider offers and possible business transactions.

Consent:
As long as the purpose for which the consent was given is valid, or until you withdraw your consent.

Legal obligations:
As stated in the provisions of each law and/or as per official decisions, including those of courts.

How do we ensure the quality of the data we collect?

When we process your personal data, we strive to ensure that they are accurate and current, and we erase or rectify personal data that are inaccurate or incomplete.
